Aid In Nosebleed and Burn
When an accident on our children, certainly as a parent should respond to provide assistance. But not infrequently also because we are finally too panicky wondering what to do to help. For that we must remain calm in order to take appropriate action. For the case of an accident nosebleeds and burns, we’ll share tips on how to provide relief to the child.
Nosebleed
Nosebleed or bleeding noses often encountered in children. Nose bleeding due to rupture of blood vessels in the nasal cavity. Many children who have thin vessel walls so that darahyang tear easily because the small things, such as heat or knock. This is what you need to do when the kids find a nosebleed.
1. Sit the child with his head down. Avoid heads up because it will increase the bleeding and induce vomiting.
2. Left and right nostrils squeezed together and breathe through your mouth.
3. Avoid sneezing, coughing, speaking or swallowing.
4. Wait until 10 minutes. When the blood is still out, immediately take it to the nearest doctor.
The use of the traditional way with betel leaf can help stop the bleeding because betel leaves contain substances that constrict blood vessels.
Burn Injuries
What is meant here is a burn injury caused by any hot object. First aid are:
1. Keep the heat source from the victim’s body. (move the victim, cut out clothes, etc.)
2. Cool the burn with running water for 10-15 minutes.
3. Avoid using toothpaste, ketchup, etc. because there’s no point and littering / aggravate the wound.
4. Cover with a clean cloth or sterile Kassa if there is flaking skin.
5. Bring to a doctor immediately.
Insects In The Ears
1. Insects must be issued with a drop of mineral oil (glycerine / paraffin liquid) or ear drops or clean water.
2. Leave to insects die or exit. Marked by a sense of no moving again in the ear.
3. If not get out, do not take any action because it can damage the lining of the channel or drum.
4. Take them to the nearest ENT doctor.
Fainting
Fainting is a condition where a person loses consciousness of breath and pulse are still good people. Fainting may occur due to lack of oxygen to the brain. So if someone passed out, the first time you do is:
1. Lie with your head lower than chest and legs. It aims to get more blood flowing to the brain.
2. Check breathing and pulse.
3. Tight clothing loosened.
4. If there are no other reasons, usually conscious / unconscious after a few minutes.
Bleed
What is meant here is the wound in the skin causing lacerations / tearing of skin tissue. Stop the bleeding by means of:
1. Press the wound with a clean cloth and position wound up higher than chest. Perform up to 10-15 minutes. If the wound remains visible bleeding or torn skin tissue, take it to the doctor for sewing the wound when necessary.
2. Clean the wound with sterile water / rivanol. Avoid use of alcohol.
3. Give antiseptic (Betadine, etc.).
4. Wound dressing.
5. If severe immediately brought to the nearest hospital.
